FAMILY THERAPY

Families exist as complex systems of interdependent parts.  Whether the family views a problem as rooted in a particular person, or as an interaction between members, my goal is to help the family see the patterns of interactions, understand the beliefs that govern their interactions, and begin to change the ways they relate to each other.  Therapy usually involves multiple family members, and can include extended family as well.  I can assist families with setting up the structure and communication for regular family meetings to resolve conflicts in the home.  I work with families through difficult transitions such as marriage, divorce, injury, or death of a loved one.  Whatever your family's issues or problems, getting help can be difficult and scary...but you don't have to face your problems alone.
